REPORT OF THE MISSIONS AND CHARITIES CHAIRMAN
AOH PA STATE BOARD MEETING – DIVISION #39 - PHILADELPHIA

October 10, 2020

Brothers,

I hope that you and your families are doing well and getting accustomed to the new norms that we are all living in these days. It’s good to be back to in person meetings.

It’s almost the end of the year (thank God… 2020 needs to end…) and our annual AOH forms will soon be due to National, State and County Boards. This is just a friendly reminder that at our last State Convention our bylaws were changed to include that the year-end Missions and Charities report for Division and County Boards in PA are to be submitted along with the other required year-end forms and per capita in order to be in good standing.

ARTICLE XIII

REPORTS AND ACCOUNTING

Section 1. All reports and accountings shall be filled in accordance with Articles XIV and XV of the National Constitution. In addition to the reports and accountings required by the National Constitution Pennsylvania County Boards and Divisions will be required to file an annual Missions and Charity Report to maintain good standing.

In order to help make the Missions and Charities report as easy and painless to report, I created a google form where you can fill out all of the pertinent information. On the google form rather then inputting each charitable donation and each man hour worked you can just input the year end total for charitable contributions and the total year end manhours for your Division and or County Board. A link to this form is included in this report https://forms.gle/2mZGKPjrLchfU2bw9 and I’ll ask our Webmaster to have this link posted to the State Board Website and our Facebook Administrator to post it to the State Board Facebook page. I’ll also ask the State Secretary to include this in his communications to the Division and County Boards in regards to year end filings.  If you’d prefer to fill out the form by hand it can be found on the National Website https://aoh.com/forms/Charities-Annual-Event-form.pdf. You can print, fill it out and scan and email me the report or mail in the report with your other forms to the State Secretary. You could also do this report in an Excel spreadsheet if you wanted to as well.

Hopefully we can get all Divisions and County Boards to be in compliance with this requirement and we can see the good work that we do in PA and use this data for our recruitment and retention efforts.

Yours In Our Motto,

Tom Coughlin, Jr.
Missions and Charities Chairman
