The AOH PA State Board is pleased to announce again that the AOH PA State President’s Dinner is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Pittsburgh. It will be hosted by President Pat O’Brien’s home Division 4 at the Doubletree Hotel in Green Tree, near Pittsburgh.
The hotel has been the site of many State Conventions and other Hibernian affairs over the years, so many will be familiar with it.
Room rates are $99 per night and are available under our room block of “AOH”. Rates are valid for both Friday and Saturday night.

Of course, we remain keenly aware of how the COVID-19 pandemic may influence our plans. We are hopeful that the vaccine rollout will improve over the next few months to allow us to resume some semblance of normal, or semi-normal, activity. If the Covid situation does not improve adequately, and/or our hotel/dinner reservations are significantly insufficient, we will decide on
April 1 whether to hold the event or develop an alternative plan. We will keep you informed accordingly. If refunds are required, we will provide them, of course.
For AOH members, a sandwich buffet will be provided on Saturday at noon in our meeting conference room, prior to the State Board meeting convening at 1:00 pm. We anticipate that the Board meeting will end at or before 4:00 pm.
At 5:00 pm, we will host a Mass in a nearby ballroom, and of course all banquet attendees are welcome. Following the Mass, a cocktail hour will begin at 6:00 pm in the main ballroom where the dinner will be held.
At the entrance doors or at the tables, each attendee will receive a complimentary “drink ticket” which can be used at the portable bars in the ballroom for a soft drink, white or red wine, or bottled beer. Additionally, premium whiskey, such as Tullamore Dew, Jamison’s, etc will be available at a cash price of $9.00. For the remainder of the evening, all beverages - alcoholic or otherwise - are available as a cash bar. Please understand that with the conservative admission price, our committee could not afford additional complimentary drink tickets.
Admission to the banquet is priced at $40 per person. Please contact Rich O’Malley either via email at or by phone at 412-401-3945 for banquet reservations, and keep in mind our “go-no go” deadline of April 1st - so don’t wait!!
The sit-down dinner will be served at 7:00 pm, and our program will begin as dinner wraps up. Following dinner, live Irish entertainment will continue until 11:00 pm.
Dinner will consist of one of the entrees listed below. Please specify which entree you would like when you make your banquet reservation!
Chicken Milanese - Parmesan Crust, Lemon Caper Cream Sauce
Grilled Salmon - Garlic, Shallots, Tomatoes, Chardonnay, Fine Herbs
Braised Beef Short Ribs - Osso Bucco Style
Mixed Greens Salad, Balsamic & Ranch Dressings on the table
Entrees served with: Assorted Rolls & Butter, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes & Seasonal Vegetables
Dessert: Cheesecake with Strawberry Sauce
Includes Coffee, Hot & Iced Tea
AOH State Executive Officers should dress in “black tie” with medallions. All other attendees should follow a dress code of “black-tie optional, otherwise appropriate business attire”.
The expenses for the event are greater than the $40 we are requesting for the admission price, therefore we are running a fundraiser called “7 Days in May”.
Tickets will cost 20.00 and will each have two Pa. Lottery, 7pm Pick 3 numbers. The ticket will be active for 7 days, starting Sunday May 2, 2021 through May 8, 2021. The winning number for each day will be as follows:
